			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.pinsentmasons.com/" target="_blank">Pinsents Masons</a>, a global 100 law firms with offices in UK, Asia pacific and gulf region has announced outsourcing of legal work to Exigent, in Cape Town, South Africa. Observers note that this is the first time that a UK based law firm has decided to outsource legal work usually done by lawyers in UK to a vendor based in another country.</p>
<p>Various law firms in UK have been in the news lately for outsourcing all but legal work. <a href="http://www.simmons-simmons.com/" target="_blank">Simmons and Simmons</a> is <a href="http://matadorlegal.com/index.php/2009/04/28/simmons-to-vote-on-moving-jobs-offshore/" target="_blank">looking to outsource</a> litigation and corporate due diligence,<a href="http://www.cliffordchance.com/home/default.aspx" target="_blank"> Clifford Chance</a> has outsourced IT and paralegal work to India, <a href="http://www.eversheds.com/" target="_blank">Eversheds</a> has also outsourced secretarial work to India.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A recent survey by <a href="http://www.princeomc.com/" target="_blank">Prince OMC</a>, a strategy consulting firm which offers sourcing advice to service firms, has found that 45 % of Law firms in UK are contemplating outsourcing the finance function. Like any other industry, the law firm has a core function, legal advice and other functions which support this core function. The support function includes, IT infrastructure, Finance , HR and admin.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The survey has found out that 36% of those polled would consider outsourcing the IT function, while 50% of in house lawyers believe that law firms should offshore to cut costs.</p>
