ABA speaks on Outsourcing

In a recent opinion published on ABANET website, ABA has called the outsourcing trend as salutary( Ethics opinion, 08-451 dated August 25th 2008). ABA also has suggested e few guidelines for firms considering outsourcing. It says that a firm has to thoroughly evaluate employees and the data transfer mechanisms. This opinion comes at a time when the US economy is at a severe strain and there are pressures to reduce litigation costs and move over from an hourly billing model to a more holistic solution based model.

ACI announces 3rd LPO Conference

American Conference Institute has announced the third LPO conference to be held in New York on Feb 23-24. Matador Legal has announced that it would provide services like petition preparation in chapter 7 and chapter 13 for consumer bankruptcy. In Personal injury Matador Legal would provide services in medical summaries, demand preparation, deposition summaries, complaints and case intakes. Along with these Matador Legal also provides administrative services like transcriptions and remote assistance for reception calls and documentation.
